At five, she started Jamnastics, a combination of gymnastics and dance that fueled her creativity and enhanced her technical skills. As a student and competitor, Alexis achieved extraordinary success. She is a 7-time National Dance Champion and a 10-time Regional Dance Champion, accolades that reflect her commitment to excellence and her ability to inspire greatness in herself and those around her. During her time at Valley High School, Alexis was an undefeated member of the Vikettes Dance Team for four consecutive years, a testament to her leadership, dedication, and skill.

Her passion for dance continued to flourish at the University of New Mexico (UNM), where she was a proud member of the UNM Dance Team. Over three years of dance and one year of cheer, Alexis honed her craft and developed a deep understanding of choreography, teamwork, and performance. These experiences not only shaped her as a dancer but also prepared her for a career dedicated to teaching and mentoring others.

Alexis holds a New Mexico Coaching License, is CPR certified (10 years), and is First Aid certified (10 years), ensuring the safety and well-being of her students. Her professional qualifications, combined with her extensive experience, make her a trusted leader in the dance community.

As a mother of two, Alexis draws inspiration from her children, Hii Lani (4 years old) and Enzo (2 years old).
